I met Alex about a year and a half ago at a show I was playing with my band in Swindon, we hit it off straight away; at the time MaLoKai didn't have a full-time drummer, to cut a long story short Alex asked me to play a couple shows with the dudes just to help out over that summer. At first I was super nervous about getting involved, MaLoKai are very professional, I was worried I couldn't perform at the level they needed me to, Alex was constantly encouraging and always made me feel wanted & needed. I felt part of them straight away, from the first time we met and jammed the set for one of the summer festivals I was playing with them; MaLoKai are a group of very talented, very passionate and totally uncompromising guys, their Faith shines through, it's refreshing to work with dudes so dedicated to the Heavenly Father. MaLoKai's skill level is very high, they certainly encouraged me to improve as a drummer, comfort zones are not in this bands vocabulary! God has definitely blessed each of them with the talent it takes to not only spread the good news of Christ in a way that relates to a lost world, but to go far in the music scene, Christian & non. Playing shows with these guys was a straight up honour; their stage presents screams passion and energy, I know, I had the best seat at the show! Whether it's a secular show wanting a high energy support or headline act, a Church wanting to try a new approach to reach it's city or a movement with it's one aim being The Gospel! MaLoKai will NOT disappoint.
